DUDLEY, MA- Wayne Tyler Kessler, 81, died Friday,
May 6, 2022 at UMASS Medical Center
in Worcester. Wayne was born in Woodford,
South Carolina
on December 22, 1940, the son of
the late
Dawson Tyler and Mattie Lee Duncan and his adoptive parents Fred and
Florence Kessler.
Wayne was brought up in Brattleboro, VT and proudly served his country in the US
Air Force.
He was the owner of
Dudley Sewing
and Music for 30 years. He played the guitar with Four
Easy Pieces. He was a long time ham operator (KIERB) and enjoyed his 1956 Ford with his family.
He is
survived by his wife of
56 years Marion (Wojtkielewicz) Kessler, one son: Joseph
Kessler of Dudley, sister: Cheryl
Sexton of FL, two brothers: Charles Tyler and his wife
Mildred of SC and Bryon Tyler of SC, three sisters in law, Julie Tyler of SC,
Carol Tyler of SC and Kathy Dunn of Hatfield as well as several nieces and
nephews.
Committal services will be on Saturday,
May 21, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in South Deerfield, with
Fr. Frank Furman as celebrant. Visitation prior to service, beginning at 2:00
p.m. at Wrisley Funeral Home.
