Jeanne J. Ragan died
on January 10, 2021 at the Buckley Healthcare Center, Greenfield, Mass. Born
Jeanne Jacqueline Paciorek on November 23, 1937 in Beauvais, France, she was
the daughter of Joseph and Marianne (Biniek) Paciorek. She immigrated to the U.S.
with her father and siblings in 1952. She attended Deerfield High School. In
1955 she married Jan Ragan settling in South Deerfield and then moving to
Whately. Her employment included Consolidated Cigar and The University of
Massachusetts, Amherst, Mass. She was proud of her Polish Heritage enjoying the
traditional music, dancing and recipes. Jeanne loved tending to her vegetable
and flower gardens, crocheting and birdwatching. Her most precious times were
those spent with her family.
Jeanne is survived by her three children; Theresa (Andrew) Bothwell of Goshen;
Marie Wolf of Cummington and Joseph (Tracy) of Ashfield. She is also survived
by granddaughters Patricia and Jennie, two grandsons John and Nathaniel and one
great-granddaughter Rosie. She also leaves behind sisters Irene Piskorski of
Chicopee and Marie Wickline of Turners Falls and brother Gerard (Nancy)
Paciorek of South Deerfield. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and
cousins who she loved very much. She was predeceased by her husband Jan (1979),
her parents and sister Marie Therese.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Buckley Healthcare, New
England Hospice and also her caregiver Lisa. Funeral arrangements are in the
care of Wrisley Funeral Home and will be held at a later date. In lieu of
flowers, memorial gifts in Jeanne's memory may be made to New England Hospice;
